saw flashing line/lights in my vision?

i walked in the bathroom and turned the light on. when i did that i started seeing a bunch of flashing lines in my eye sight. i took my glasses off to see of that made them go away but it didnt. it lasted for only a minute. i told my mom and she just told me not to worry about it but tell her if it happens again. i was wondering if this is something i should worry about or not, so if you could help me that would be great. thanks :)
 
I have been to several eye doctors for this and they all tell me it's a precursor to migraine headaches.I don't always have a headache so it is puzzling to me too.I have also been told that it could be a sign of a detached retina,so don't take any chances.Always have it checked out anyway.Good luck.
 
as long as they arent there still youll be fine.
i see them all the time. if im watching TV ill see them in the corner of my eye.
its like when you close your eyes and rubs them, your brain percieves it as light coming in from the pressure.
 
It might be nothing, but it might be the start of a detached retina. You might want to call your eye doctor about it.
