saving/opening 3gpp2

is there any way to save video attachments that get sent to phone from email? I'm a regular tmo customer, no BES/BIS.

from net, I can choose small clips and then it loads and the bb video player kicks in, but I haven't found a way to open it via email. can I forward the email somewhere that will allow me to then open it and save it? I know I can recieve an MMS, but there lies a problem.

i'm curious about opening via email because tmo does this retarded thing that if MMS arrives to bb phone that's a vid, it breaks it into a animated .gif and .wav voice attachment. it's pretty obnoxious and makes it impossible to save in it's original form (a video). I wish I had never called up and asked why I was receiving a direction link to the temp. tmobile photo site when the phone can play videos. Ever since they turned that feature on I've hated it.

any help would be appreciated. I tried using search function, but couldn't find it and I thought to post it.

I meant .3g2 (format verizon phones send in)

I got an answer from tmob.. hard to explain. long story short, the pearl is an odd mixture of phone and media that doesn't use the platform of other video phones on the market. since it doesn't use same platform, it can't recieve video files via mms directly so t-mobile thought of a little work around. video messages sent to pearl via mms (if you turn the option on) will convert the video to an animated .gif and a .wav . when you open the mms message the two will play together and BAM, it's like a video... but it's not a video.

I turned the option off and now I get the message again saying to lock into t-mobile site to view it. then when I click on it, it loads on my blackberry then the media player pops up.

found out the reason the email won't open a video clip is the platform thing again. it doesn't recognize the 'standard' format which is why the option doesn't pop up to open attachment like with a pic, pdf, txt, etc.
