I'm moving to Kentucky next summer. I currently have a Verizon phone, and it doesn't get reception where I'm moving. Actually, anyone there who has a phone that requires a tower doesn't work because there are no towers up in the mountains.
So I was considering getting a satellite phone. Pathetic as it sounds, I can't live without having a cell phone. My dad had a landline, but I don't want to be tying up the line all the time, and I like to text.
Would a satellite phone be ideal for me? Or would I have to do without? And can satellite phones text? It may sound stupid, but I have no knowledge of these phones. Thanks!
