Satellite Install Questions / SW44 Questions

I'm just about ready to set up my dish, just deciding on how I am going to route the wires to the rooms. Looking at 3-4 wired rooms. I only have regular TV, no high def. I will be using a SW44 for the task.

I'm wondering how far the power pack can go from the SW44, I believe its the unit that plugs into #1 on the SW44.

If I put the SW44 in the attic, and have the power pack located in the closest room, I would save a considerable amount of cable given that I wouldn't be running everything to the basement and back up again.

Just put the Power Inserter behind the main receiver, which as you correctly say needs to be connected to Port #1.

That way, when your main Receiver is on so is the Power Inserter, also easier for replacement should that ever need to be done.
