Answer with little known facts about Sarah Palin that make her the worst choice for a running mate (or well known facts)


don't you think middle ages women are going to be offended he picked her simple because she is a woman? She has only been a governor of the least popular state for 18 months!! How will she be able to be president? He values are so far left and almost libertarian. She has made his polls go down considerably. There is nothing about her that makes her a good choice.

Dude, libertarians are NOT on the left by a LONG shot; they're the antithesis of the left because they believe in a completely and totally unrestricted free-market economy and no taxation or social services *at all*.

I think it was a completely asanine decision because he's been attacking Obama on his lack of experience... and then he chose someone who has a year and a half of political experience in - as you pointed out - a tiny, out of the way state that has a substantially different culture and economy from the rest of the nation.

I wonder if he chose her because she's a middle aged woman and he thought that would court more Hillary supporters. I'm not sure. But what I do know is that if McCain became president, I'd be terrified: if he dies mid-office, look who our new president will be... a person with absolutely no credentials to lead a nation by a long shot.

It reminds me of when Bush nominated Meiers for Supreme Court, and everyone - even his supporters - stood back puzzled.

I'm cool with all this since I'm voting for Obama anyway.
 
What are you talking about, her values are to the far right, not left! I can't stand her. Of course, I'm a Democrat. She's a misogynist, even though she's a woman. She's against abortion, even in the case of rape or incest! And she wants to teach creationism in schools!
 
Is everyone picked only because of one aspect? When it was Hillary vs Obama everyone was whining, all the women will vote for the token woman and all the blacks will vote for the token black. Get over your own narrowmindedness here... what did the black women or white men or anyone with ANY other perceived conflict do? Hopefully, just like all other people who were neither of those labels, and all those who WERE one one or the other, the majority of every group no matter how you divide them up will investigate, discuss, explore, and then judge and decide on more than one boneheaded misplaced idea that the *OTHERS* all got there just because of whatever makes them *OTHER*.
 
Not just that, but he needs to attract the hard-right of the GOP, and it seems he's accomplished that by picking her.

You apparently do not know the life story of John McCain. He is a descendant of one of General George Washington's Staff. His family roots go back that far in the American Republic. His Father and Grandfathers were Admirals. He was a rebel at Anapolis and in schools he often rebelled and chaffed at rules. He bucked the system.

So has Sarah Palin. Who fought the corruption that is endemic in Alaskan GOP politics. And is a Washignton Outsider. She is a rebel of sorts and so is he. She was not afraid to take on Big Oil, yet understands the need for Oil. Alaska is a major Oil Producing state.

She is a Conservative Right To Life Christian. That energizes the Conservative Base of the Republican Party that is lukewarm to McCain. They are no more. He threw them so Red Meat. She is a Lifetime NRA member, hunts, fishes. And her Son Track leaves for Iraq with his unit on September 11th, Hooah.

In February he spoke to her with other Governors and was immediately impressed. And unlike the other Three Men running actually has experience running and administering a State Government. She lacks Foreign Service experience. But she can learn. If she gets even 15% more of the Women's Votes. And Obama's stupid supporters keep insulting her and women in general they will give the election away to the Republicans. This is their Worst nightmare.

Obama did not pick a Woman to run for VP. Her Husband is a Commercial Fisherman and a democrat, and a Union Member. Already Obama supporters are calling her the VPILF. This is condescending and very stupid on their part. Already Feminists who don't like her policies are coming to her defense. The Democrats have wallowed in Victimhood politics. And it is blowing up in their faces.
 
Picking Sarah Palin was a genius move on McCain's part. He knows the right-wing conservatives were only lukewarm about supporting him, and now they're behind him 100%. The fact that she's a woman will woo some Hillary supporters, but it is her conservative politics and her record as a reformer that will get him, and her, elected.
