Sanyo LCD tv video 2 is playing in black and white?

I have a Sanyo TV and im trying to plug in my xbox and dvd player to play on videos 1 and 2 BUT there isn't a yellow plug in on the tv for video 2 just blue and green one and 2 extra white and red ones. And when i plug them into one that will show picture it shows in black and white??? can i do this with out having to buy a HDMI cord?? because i really don't want to.
