Sanyo DP46848 46" LCD TV Repair Problem?

I bought this tv and understand there are many like it that have the 'shadow' problem, which mine does this on the left side of the screen. Reading around I found out the most likely problem was the power inverter. So, being a DIY person that is good with computers and circuits, etc... I decided to take the tv apart and check the inverter. Realizing the large amounts of power that are stored in inverters I decided to just switch the two inverters (there is one on the left and one on the right). Logically speaking, if the left inverter was the problem, then switching them would cause the shadow problem to switch to the right side of the screen.

Being in a rush and somewhat frustrated, I left the tv apart and just hooked the boards up and switched the inverters. Without thinking I let the boards touch the metal part of the tv (that detail is important in a second...). I turned it on and saw snowy fuzz, but no shadow. Excited, I went to plug in the cable to see if the problem was reappear on an actual show, and because the boards were touch the metal, as I plugged in the cable I got severely shocked. I quickly dropped the cable out of instinct and saw the electricity arc from the cable onto the metal on the back of the tv, which the boards were touching.

Now the tv will not turn on at all.

So my question after all that is, could dropping the cable have cause the electricity to run through either the screen, boards, inverters, or power buttons maybe and shorted it? Is there a fuse on the tv I could check?

TIA
