Sanyo camera not taking pictures as they appear on the lcd display ?

This is annoying the hell out of me I spend 80 dollars on a camera and the picture will be perfect on the lcd screen with auto white balance and im not shaking but after it takes the picture it turns yellowish and kinda blurry any way i can fix this or is the box lying when it says point and shoot hd camera ?
I'm using a 2 gb sd card btw.
and the camera is a sanyo vpc-t1495
