Sanyo camera help please.?

whenever i try to turn on my camera,it actually turns on but the screen stays black. it wont let me take pictures or anything. i try turning the camera off then on again,but it still does the same thing.
this started happening after i plugged my camera into my computer to transfer pictures to my pc. please help me fix this.
