San Francisco + swimming in outdoor hotel pool??

We are going to San Francisco April 15th...is it usually warm enough to swim in a outdoor hotel pool?

or are we better off just getting a hotel without a pool? I have a 10 month old I would like to take swimming.

Hotels Suggestions too?

It could be hit or miss. If the pool is heated you may very well get some swimable weather in April but the water would be too cold for a infant if it isn't heated.
