Samsung t809 or Samsung D600

personally, i would go with the d600. it has superior features and it avoids the many problems that the t809 seems to have.

The t809 is a thin and wider version of the d600, with not as good features.

The t809 looks better in real life than in pictures though. Both are great phones, but you should probably wait for the bugs on the t809 to get resolved before buying it.

T809 is a hot phone. D600 looks like a last-generation. Take a look at the D500 and its successor the D520. The D520 is modeled after the T809/D820.

I personally think the T809 looks great, and most people who see it think its really cool and futuristic looking.

Not to mention the fact that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I also wouldn't say the T809 is "plagued" with problems, yes it has its problems, but its noting samsung hasn't been willing to fix. You can even get your T809 replaced with newer ones if you bought it prior to february of this year.

Wow, I compared the D500 and the D520 on phonescoop and the D520 is definitely a step down in everything but looks. Didn't know that.

I still think the T809 is a sexy phone though. Very unique.

I have the same dilemma, thinking about either D600 or D820.

I would definitely choose D820 if only they didn't have the dust problem but since it's there I'm now leaning towards the D600.

.

From what I've read, the dust problem is not present in T809s manufactured after Feb 2006. Its not there in the phone I'm using which was bought in early March.

Is that right? is this a general consensus amongst all T809 owners with phones manufactured after Feb or is this just your phone?

T-mobile has acknowledged the problems on t809 including the dust issue and the "buzzing" issue on some of the phone (phones manufactured prior to 02.06) and will replace it under their terms of warranty. And while it is not that ALL t809 that was made before 02.06 has defects, but a lot of them do. I have t809 and it's a great phone. I had Slvr L7, Razr, and d500 and yes, even tried the Chocolate phone from Korea (the one with the touch pad), but so far I like the t809 the most. While d600 has 2.0mp camera (i think..) and offers better battery life, it is too bulky for me and i hate how it sticks out of my jean pocket. If you don't mind charging your phone every 2 days and like the slimness, go with t809, you won't regret it. But if you would rather prefer higher resolution camera and better battery life, go with d600. they are all excellnet phones.
