I just had a question and was wondering if anyone could answer it. I switched a Sprint SPH-A740 (Or PM-A740) to cricket by downloading the PRL to the phone using Universal PST and the switch was successful after manually programming it but if anyone knows why when I do *228 after I get the whole welcrome to cricket crap and "please do not hang up until you get a comformation your phone has been programmed" right after that point the phone reboots... maybe I did something wrong hell if I know... but if anyone wants to put in their 2 cents you are more than welcome to..

Well, my best guess would be that the phone you are trying it on is not made specifically to the same standard that the over the air programming is trying to do. As long as you can manually program it, which you said you did, then I would stick with that and you won't have any problem. Welcome to CricKet.

no it is because *228 does not have a spc or subsidy lock code for your phone. if you can change the msl to 000000 it will work.

well see heres the problem I changed the spc to 000000 and then the phone just drops service if I dial *228 and its wierd, and this phone is made for OTA Programming but I just wanted to make sure it wasnt gonna make my signal any different.... and i've been with cricket for over a year, I love cricket they have given me problems but I cant complain too much with the money I save.

Reset the phone
just dial *2 and send
it should work just fine
in my area some reason samsung sprint phones when you
try to do *228 the phone will not send the call out
in my area sprint quit doing over the air and disabled the function only in samsung
just *2 send
thats if you have the prl of cricket loaded
it will go through just fine enjoy :)
