Hi all,
Last week, in the mid-afternoon, I picked up my Samsung D807 following a long night of drinking only to discover that the screen was cracked. While I have no recollection of dropping this phone even once through the 6 or so months that I owned it, I can't say I know what happened. In any case, I'm in desperate need of a new phone since my backup is this worthless Motorola without a working speaker, forcing me to put it on speaker phone whenever I want to use it in order to hear anything.
I really liked the 807... it looked slick, had a pretty decent UI (that's relative to all the horrible ones I've dealt with), fair customization features, etc. However, the shortcoming of this phone was durability. I play rough with my phones... I was even nice to this one, but it wasn't meant to be. I'd be very grateful for some advice on this, so here goes:
Phone needs to have:
+ DURABILITY
+ Good call quality/volume/reception
+ Fair looks
+ Good size (fits well in pocket)
+ A price tag of $200 or less
+ MP3 ringtones
+ Some basic web browsing (football scores)
It doesn't need (but doesn't hurt as long as price is right):
- MP3 player (I already have one of those)
- Camera (I have one of those too)
Good to know:
* I'm a Cingular customer
* I'm open to buying used phones
Please share your knowledge... Thanks!
