Samsung S8300 phone help?

When I just got the Samsung S8300 I had this Widget thing that shows me missed calls and stuff like that. now It wont show me missed calls and I searched the widget options, there is no check box for the missed calls one. does anyone know I can make it work again? right now I cant see if I missed a call
