Samsung Rant Texting Help?

I just got the Samsung rant, and I have a problem texting with it. When I text and press space after the word, it automatically adds another word right after it, even if I don't want it. How do I stop this? I've tried all the settings.
 
i have tht phone too. if u were gonna use the word it gives u next then just push the right arrow. if u dnt want the word then just keep typing. tell me if it works
