samsung moment question?

I'm looking for a way to have a talk to text feature. My friend has the Motorola Droid and on his keypad on the screen there is a microphone that he can push and anything he says can be sent in a text. I see that the Samsung has a microphone picture on the space bar.. but i can not get it to do anything. It may be a speaker phone button but I'm not sure.. anyone with the moment have a talk to text feature? may it be an app or a feature already on the phone?
 
The moment is supposed to get 2.1 sometime this month or next. I typed this using text to speech on my droid haha don't get mad
