Hero! I've had both - Although the super-bright AMOLED scrreen on the Moment is really nice, Samsung's support pales in comparison to HTC. Both phones will be getting the Android 2.1 update soon, but I suspect that with Samsung's lousy history of supporting their software on their phones, and the un-acceptable length of time it took to get the first patches out to the Moment for some awfully serious problems, that once Samsung releases the 2.1 update, that will be the last update to the OS that you will see... HTC on the other hand has a good track record of supporting it's phones with updates (even if they are a bit slow coming out with them.) and if they do NOT update beyond 2.1, there is a very active developer/hacker community for the Hero that WILL provide updates to Android 2.5, 3.0 etc. (Although you'll need to root your phone to install these when they come out - it's simple and safe.)
