Samsung ML 1630 printer, only printing black. why??

Well if it prints photos it should print in color. Before you print a pic or document go to properties in the printer window that appears when you click print and find properties (i think.) and there should be a printer color selection.

My friend just bought a printer ( Samsung ML-1630,laser) And he can only print black. When he went to the store to buy it, the man, told him that that was a printer good to print photos.I don't now why this happening, i never used a laser printer before.
What you guys think it would be the problem ( or maybe not really problem)

If that can print color, it be more shocking than to find aliens landing on the roof of the white house.

First, have him open the printer to make sure there is both a color ink cartridge and a black one, secondly, if there is in fact a color cartridge, then when he goes to print, check on the box that pops up to confirm the printing that he has the color option selected as opposed to greyscale. If he doesn't see this on the main pop up window, have him click on printer preferences and look to see if color is selected.

this printer is a monochrome laser printer which means that it only prints in black and white.
