Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Beam, or SE Xperia X10

I can't make up my mind between these three phones. I love the way that the X10 looks, but i don't really use facebook or any of those so the whole Timescape thing would be a waste. The Beam would be nice b/c I like Samsung and the projector would be useful for my kids if they get bored while we're waiting around somewhere. Plus, the power tends to go out a lot here during storms. The Galaxy S just seems like it will be nice all around. It looks like a fingerprint magnet, but I love the nice video recording that it does. I've never had an Android phone before so I don't think I'll really know what I'm missing if I just get 1.6 on the SE. I'm on AT&T, but I don't care about it not having 3G.

Looks like the Galaxy S is coming to T-Mo and since you are on AT&T, you aren't likely to get 3G on it. You say you don't care, but if you need data, it could be an issue, especially with video.

The Beam appears to be a projector phone, more useful for the business person rather than the average consumer, although you seem to have a use for it. I would think battery life could be a big problem.

Don't think any of the 3 are close to their US release so it is hard to compare. The X10 might be the closest, but then I am not up on everything going on in the cell phone world, as far as what is coming down the pike.

I work from home so I usually just use wifi which is why I'm not really concerned about 3G. After some more research, I have decided against the Beam. I don't know if I feel like waiting for the Galaxy S, maybe upgrade to that or something else next year w/ taxes. I think it's more between the X10 and the Desire now.

Galaxy S is gonna be available in early June unlocked. It will have the 1900 umts band (check your map coverage to see if 1900 is supported).
