samsung galaxy s, is there any way 2 have a full pic as your background?

im sick of only being able 2 have a small square of a picture as me main screen background, is there any i can have the whole pic and it not move sideways whenever i go 2 a different page on my home screen?
also is there any cool things you can do 2 make this phone cooler as in home screen widgets look different or anything like that?
