i'm in a very weird condition. my 4-5 months' old Samsung galaxy s phone has suddenly stopped charging. the phone just makes that initial 'ding-dong' sound to say that it has started charging. however, the battery indicator doesn't move or progress... my phone just runs on plugged power. once plugged out, it dies out. instantaneously.
i don't remember having misused the phone or anything like dropping it or water damage or anything. however, i bought a travel charger recently. immediately before the problem started occurring. that charger works on 4 AA size batteries. it's a travel charger. while i was on the move, i tried to charge my phone. however, instead of charging, the phone battery started depleting and finally died out.
i remember that while i was charging the rechargeable batteries in the travel charger, i plugged in my cell phone into the charger simultaneously to save time so that my phone and the batteries - both charge at the same time. i don't know if this is what played the devil and snagged the life outta my cellphone or battery or what - i don't know.
i really can't make it out whether it's the cell phone that's the problem, the battery that has died out, the integrated circuit (IC), what - can't really make out what went wrong. and what i did so that this occurred. could anyone plz explain me what may have gone wrong? i'd be grateful. many thanks.
