Samsung Flight 2 Won't Receive Text Messages?

i just got the phone and i can only receive text messages from one person. The rest of my friends send the messages my phone just never gets them. I can send texts fine, make calls, and receive calls. I just can't receive texts. I have At&t and is it them or the phone and what can I do to fix it?
