Samsung d900 - LG cu500 - quirk counter

truth hurts u

Hello, I am considering one of these two phones. I currently have the Samsung (which I can return for another few days) - it has a a few annoying things like speakerphone needs two buttons, speakerphone cannot be turned on until you make a call, etc, etc. These are the kind of things that drive me nuts. These kind of design flaws bother me more than mediocre sound quality, short battery life, etc.

My question is, how many of these quirks does the LG have. I know of a few so far:
1 - ONLY ascending rings (no full volume at start)
2 - no ring AND vibrate for ringtones
3 - cannot use full lenght mp3 for rintgtones (means you have to edit any song you want to use)
4 - card under battery

Are there any others?
Is it true that there are no buttons that can be made into shortucts (e.g. for easy access to the alarm clock)
Is it true that when the phone is closed there is no way to mute the ringer?
