Samsung Comeback: Says "Searching..." but has good 5 signal bars?

Phone hasn't worked all day. Won't let me send/receive texts, or make calls. Just says "Searching..." where T-Mobile should be.

I've taken out and put back in the SIM and the battery, and no change.

Any help?
 
Take the sim card out and put the battery back in, power the phone back on and plug it into the charger for a few minutes. Remove it from the charger and replace the sim card then turn the phone back on, if it still does not work then there is no service in the area.
