samsung cellphone A571 keys not functioning?

I just found that my cellphone, samsung A571, keys are not functioning. Nothing happens when pressing any key. But I can turn off the phone by pressing the red hang up key. The keys may work for a couple of minutes when the phone is just turned on. After that, the keys are dead.
