heres the deal-
i realllllly want an android.
im no iphone hater, i just want android.
the captivate is actually a good high spec good lookin android thats actually on at&t
at&t has to be a b**** about android and restricting it
oh did i mention im stuck with at&t, thats why this is a problem
so how bad do they restrict android? i want android over iphone because u can do what YOU want, but at&t makes it less android and more like the restricted iphone.
im guessing that althought at&t restricts it, it will still be more open than iphone.
i heard that at&t restricts tethering, but its not a big deal to me cuz i plobably wont use it cuz ill get the $15 data plan.
also non market apps- how many non market apps would the average android user actually use? im guessing that anything that isnt on the market that ppl use is somewhat complicated stuff that the average user wont use.
what is all the good stuff that at&t restricts? stuff that the average user mite use.
another thing- is there a way to connect to a computer or laptop to use internet? like not wifi, but not at&t signal either. can a computer/laptop send an internet signal out that androids can use (like bluetooth or something, if thats possible), and if there is, does at&t restrict it? my guess is definitely yes because they would want u to get higher internet plans, but im just wondering. the reason i want to do this is because my dad would only let me get an android if its the $15 data plan and i live in a residential school, and they only connect our laptops to their wifi. and its against school rules to set up networks. and if there is something like this, will it work on the itouch too? jw. thanks for any answers
