Samsung Cam. Warranty?

So, I brought this AWESOME Samsung Cam. the other day.
And now the screen cracked..
I didn't buy warranty because I couldn't afford it at the time.
I was going to get some, but I registered my Cam. online
Samsung.com said I had a year of warranty? Is this correct?
I'm confused. haha
