Samsung B3310 ring tone help!?

So I have a song i on my phone that I want to use as my ring tone. The file is an mp3 and only about 3mb big. When I go to the file and click options. Set as ring tone is grayed out. I can set it as a caller ring tone but not a generic one. Any idea how to fix this and set it as a ring tone? Thanks a lot.
