sample preparation for SDS-PAGE?

hi, help me out here=) to prepare the samples for SDS-PAGE we boil the samples with mercaptoethanol and SDS at 100? for 5 minutes. I know this is to break down the protein, but after boiling we dilute the sample with sample buffer(of course containing SDS and mercaptoethanol). Is there any problems if we do that? I mean the dilution. thanks
