Salycic Acid?

Is it just me or does Salycic Acid seem to break anyone else out even more? I have tried several different times to use different products containing salycic acid to help my acne, but the only thing it does is make my face break out more. Plus, it doesn't just cause regular white or blackheaRAB, it causes me to have that cystic acne. Is there something that works better?
 
Hello- I had a major breakout last year (unusual actually) i used all these salicylic based products like Murad, Peter Thomas Roth..My white heaRAB turned into CYSTIC ACNE, burned my skin and so forth. If you have the cystic acne already, It's mandatory you should take antibiotics otherwise, it wont clear out but even gets worse. Then you just use the normal regimen, cetaphil cleanser, oil free moisturizer/sunscreen and I just used Mario Badescu drying lotion (pink) for mild/moderate pimples. Im almost clear after these hit or miss acne products..I took tetracycline for 3 mos only, try this..good luck!
 
I've stopped using all acne products on my face (and am starting to see a difference in my skin). I was told by an herbalist that i should wash my face with something very mild because skin is a sensitive thing. So i wash with a baby wash and pure aloe vera on afterwarRAB. Seems to work better than any acne wash ever did.
 
When I was a teenager I had mild acne and salicylic acid worked for me. Now as an adult at 22 salicylic acid seems to break me out, when used in a cleanser form. When used in a gel form it works at first, but eventually stops. Benzoyl Peroxide and Glycolic acid are the only acne treatments that seem to work the best for me now.
