Saints Row 2 : Cars being damaged & exploding rediculously fast (10 points) help?

I just got back upstairs and started playing.
And at first it was just that the cars are getting more sensitive, like head on colisions would send my car exploding into the air.

Now, all I did was skid with a bike and it (very very very GENTLY) hit the wall, then caught fire, then exploded.

Anyone might know of a solution?
 
It could be a system error which can cause error because it's overheating. or you could go to garage and pimp up ur car.
