Im a Stay at home mom of a 2 year old boy.im 23 years old ,but i feel like time is flying by and i still dont finish my bachelors degree. i already have my A.A degree from community college and i transferred out to a university and enrolled in 1 class while being prego. after that i had my baby and havent gone back to school. I dont have anyone to leave him with nor do i want to leave him in day care cuz he is still to small and cant tell me if something went wrong. back then i wanted to major in something To do with counseling (mft, or speech patholigist and i still do ,but the schoos class schedule is not felixible they only offer day classses and i cant do that and besides the school is like 1 hour away so i would have to travel with my baby and the school day care is not guaranteed. So after much reasearch iv been thinking about nursing. Most of the classes are flexible and i could do it ,but i know that nursing community colleges are so impacted and there are waitilist and the ones without wait list you need A's in the pre Req's. so im torn if i should purse what i originally wanted to be ,but at a much later time maybe in 4years once my son goes fulltime to school ,or try out nursing, since its local to home and if i cant get in the program i will tranfer to a university and just get my bachelors instead of the Adn from community college. i did work in a hopsital and i was around sick people and i felt compationate towards them ,but i was just a receptionist.
