Sacramento, Ca backyard fire pit laws?

My kids and i built a stone fire pit in our backyard (there is no grass within 5ft of it and no tree branches within 10ft of it, its solid stone and well build so it is safe) and heard that there is a open fire law in sacramento and were wondering how they sell them at the stores if you can't use them and if we can do anything to be able to use it without getting in trouble. Also wondering if i can get a link to the laws and regulations on this subject.
 
I am not sure about your laws but here where I am they put a band on open fires every summer. What we can do is go to the city hall and get a backyard permit. We have a few rules that have to be followed to be able to get one. I think you have most of that covered. I think you should check out what your city hall says. It doesn't hurt to ask.
