S83 and Vance & Hines Pipes

I have been trying to locate some good aftermarket pipes for my S83. Without any luck. So, I called Vance & Hines to inquire. They would love to provide pipes for us S83 owners, but they have yet to get ahold of one in order to fit them. I am pasting a message from them below to see if we can help them................

The S83 is an Intruder 1400 with a few cosmetic changes and a new name. They both use the same exhaust sytem from the factory, with identical part numbers on the head pipes, mufflers, clamps, and gaskets. So any aftermarket exhaust that fits the Intruder 1400 will also fit the S83. A buddy put the CMII exhaust for the 1400 on his S83, and it sounds great.
 
I dont understand that different manufacturers say different things.
Anyway, Vance & Hines would like someone with a S83 in their area to bring their bike to them for fit testing. Someone asked me if there was any incentive to do this. I asked Wendy at Vance & Hines, and here was her reply.....

When we borrow a customers bike they always get a free set of pipes. And we also tune their bike for them. We do a photo shoot & will put their bike in next years catalog too.
