While I agree it is a great looking bike, and I can attest that it handles as good as it looks, it really is just a stock VS800 with about $5000 in bolt on aftermarket accessories. Terry bought the AME chopper kit; some 11" over forks from Forks by Frank; RC Components 'Stingray" front wheel; Hard Krome Double Ds Exhaust; 7' risers; drag bars from a 2006 S50; a bolt on kit from Dixie Enterprises to make the stock rear wheel look like a disk wheel; Mapam forward controls; Billski Adjustable struts to replace the stock shocks; Kuri Iso grips; Suzuki chrome radiator cover and driveshaft cover; fake air cleaner, headlight, plate mount, and fenders from a catalog. He had a local shop cut down and modify the seat for him, and sprayed the whole thing silver. The beauty part is that nothing other than the seat can not be undone- he could return the bike to stock in a weekend if he wanted to.
Shows you the extent of what can be done with the bolt-on accessories! You can build a heck of a bike without having to do any engineering, fabricating, or even welding. :bluethum:
The top one is a true custom, in that it was built on a one-off custom-built frame. Normally I would frown on such a radical custom build from a small-cc metric bike, but it was built with a recycled drivetrain from a wrecked Intruder 800, so it costs a lot less than it looks like it would have.
