First post here, Hello all. I need some help. After my surgery on my lower back in 07 (I had a bad fall shattering my S1 and L4 L5) Nine months after my surgery I tried going back to collage and work towarRAB another degree in my field of work.
I quickly realized I was still in bad shape and after a few semesters left school.
I started trying different types of pain re-leaf but no luck.
So I went back to my Surgeon and talked about what was going on he said that I ended up on the lower side of the success rate and damage was permanent. We discussed removing my metal but he said I should not hope for much. And he mentioned that doing this could also cause more problems.
So has any one had this type of surgery done.(Having metal removed) And if so what was the success with having your TI removed. Also does anyone have a Supper surgeon they can recommend.(Seattle or Portland) I live in Alaska and it was suggested to me to get an Opinion out side.
I have already seen two other surgeons up here and they all said about the same thing. As it is rite now I can't work and I am thinking I will have to file for disability. Any help would be great. Thanks JMA
