Rust help with my 18 speed roadmaster mountain bike?

I just got a "new bike" it was given to me by my aunt. Ive really wanted a bike! Well now that i got it i realized the chain is all rusty.... she must have kept it out in the rain. The wheels the chain goes arounf are a little rusty but not bad. anyways my question is, where can i buy a cheap used chain... how big do i look for? AND can i put it back on myself?

Walmart sells cheap chains.Try the site below to see if they have a video on chains. Roadmaster was a low end bike, so I wouldn't spend too much on it

Go to Walmart and get a 3/32" multispeed chain and a chain breaker. take the old chain off and lay it beside the new one. Cut the new one to the same length.
