Russell Brand on Newsnight

Just watched an interview between Paxman and Russell Brand. I've got to say that I worry about Russell Brand. Most of the interview was made up of him rambling on about inane subjects in that hundred mile an hour tone of his, which in my mind made no sense whatsoever. To me his manic expression and strange beliefs makes me believe he is verging on the insane!

Which begs the question, what do people actually see in this idiot.

Articulate-hardly. He sounds like people do when they're drunk and think they're talking sense but are actually talking crap that nobody else can understand.

He's a bit like marmite, you either love him or hate him, and personally i love him.

I used to hate him, but having watched some of his stand ups recently after liking him in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'Get Him To The Greek', i now find him really funny.

If he's not your cup of tea, change the channel. Simple.

I love Russell - but the interview was a bit odd. He's not normally that manic & at times he was either being arch & pretentious or his comic timing had gone wrong.

Also (much as I love them) - he and Katy Perry are the biggest famewhores on the planet - so their war with the Paparazzi is pure hubris. If they're not careful, they'll come a cropper - like Robbie Williams (the press don't tolerate that sort of thing forever).
