Runny Nose and Chest Congestion

so here's the situation. in december i had a bad flu that knocked me out for a few days. i did recover and for the most part, i feel fine. however, since then, i've had this annoying runny nose and chest congestion. there is definitely mucus in my chest that keeps me coughing. its worse during the day, and gets better at night. some days are worse than others. other than the runny nose and coughing up this crap, i feel completely fine. no headache, no fever, no fatigue, i am completely functional. anyone else have these chronic problems? its been a couple of months and i'm becoming increasingly annoyed by this, but because i feel fine physically i haven't been too concerned. i'm taking mucinex and its helping me cough the phlegm up, i'm just wondering if this problem could just be the winter or allergies or whatever.

The question is is what you are bringing up clear or white, or is it green? If it's green, you still have an infection and probably need another round of antibiotics.

A good antihistamine should also help with the drippy nose. It has been a bad winter for infections and colds my doc told me. I just got over bronchitus.
good luck...
