Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me with this! For the last 5 years or so, every morning I've woken up with a runny blocked nose. It runs for about an hour or so after I've woken up, then I sneeze a few times and then it goes until the next morning.
I've been allergy tested at the doctors and the only thing I was allergic to was lactose, but I eat a vegan diet so it's not that.
It doesn't matter which bed I'm in, mine, someone else's, camping, a hotel, a different country, anywhere.
I've washed all my bedding in as many different detergents as possible and it's made no difference.
It's really starting to get me down :(

I also suffer from this and am getting fed up with it!! I do have cats so I have put it down to an allergy to them. Also, if I am very hot in bed I wake up in the night with a blocked runny nose and sneezes. I heard that putting vaseline up your nose stops the allegens irritating you, which I tried and did work a bit. I would suggest going to the Pharmacy and asking what medicine would be best to take ... I'm taking that direction now because I am so fed up with it. It affects my sleep and i constantly feel tired!!

If anyone else has any ideas they would be much appreciated.

It's SO annoying! I've grown up with cats and dogs but don't have any here with me now. I just cannot figure out what it is, I'll go to the pharmacy this morning and see what they say, fingers crossed!

try a benedryl at bedtime. It's also the "PM" component in Tylenol PM so it's perfectly OK to take.

is benedryl for allergies? I wish I could just figure out what I'm allergic to because I wouldn't want to be taking benedryl every night forever!

Yes, it's an allergy med. But it also makes you drowsy. That's why it's the "PM" component in many over the counter drugs. You are probably allergic to dust mites and they are everywhere. I take one every night myself. It's perfectly alright to do it.
