I'm planning to hiking in roughly a year and I would like to document my travels. I know laptops and netbooks have a general standard of hardware (120GB HDD, 2GB RAM, 2.6GHz, etc.) at a given time. I would like to get something that is smaller than 17", very rugged, possibly waterproof, but generally exceptional for things like cameras, maybe cd's, and decent specs. Any suggestions or places I should consider buying from?
