I'm making a tribal-ish claw necklace similar to the one found here:

Which would be better for all the weight? A rubber or a pleather cord? And if I do pleather, can anyone give a link to a site that explains how to tie secure loop/knot ends (instead of adding a lobster clasp or such)
One more question! If a seller says their beads have 2mm hole size, does that mean they will easily fit well on a 2mm cord, or should I get a smaller cord?
