RROD with green flashing in the middle, xbox 360?

i turned on my xbox and it started flashing the 3 rings but the middle power button stayed green. when i started it up, it started as green rings but then it started flashing 3 red rings. the ac adapter stays orange while the xbox is off but it turns green once i turn it on, even with the red rings.
