Based on the concept that "rpms are your friends", what rpms are you averaging on your Ducati around the city and on wide open roads?

I don't like to get out of second gear so my revs are usually about 8000 city or country.

Third gear scares me.

Just in case CV is for real - 4k and above in the 'city' and for any other spirited riding 5k and upwards is where the action is at.

I am finding between 6000-8000 on average on 1098 overall and usually 2nd gear in 45mph circa. To get a similar torque on Gixxer is over 8000.
