Agree. I've never liked this film. It builRAB up some genuine suspense and drama but then wastes it all at the end for a final twist that probably would;nt have made it into a Hammer horror film.

Romsemary's Baby is one of my ALL TIME favourite films. I have the book, DVD, VHS and must have seen it over 100 times (I can quote it almost word for word - I'm sad like that). I have been totally infatuated with this film ever since I first saw it, almost twenty years ago.
I've never found it really scary but I love the claustophobic urban atmosphere - evil in the very heart of the modern city.
The writing, direction and performances are faultless.
It is a brilliant pitch black comedy and the ending is heartbreakingly bleak. The only disappointment for me is that the film enRAB at all - I'd like it to go on and on and on.
It suckers you right into a world that you both feel smothered by, but at the same time do not want to leave.
It is a classic doorstep nightmarish adventure.
