Hi guys I Havent been around for a while as I got a Hd2. Well with the developments Of android on the hd2 I am back. Its been working pretty well and it makes me feel right at home with android on my phone.

I do have a few basic questions. Ive done some research but I cant find any concrete info on the questions I have.

If your rom has root should The app in question constatly state that It has gained access.

The reason I ask this is because we are seeing different current draw everyday.
Ive tried to set info In the advanced tab on setcpu but It seems to revert once the phone has restarted.

I dont expect anyone to know much about the hd2's android these are just some general questions that need some light shedded on.

Thank you for your time.

Ok So ill do that. It just feels strange that when ever I set something in setcpu it reverts back.

I tick the box set on boot in both locations.

And Simms your always the hero!

Yes sir
My setcpu is 2.02. sorry I totally spaced !

In my superuser information it states "Superuser v2.3.5
With Su binary v2.3.1-ef

The major real reason I am asking is because I am concerned If we really have root or not.

I was told that root is temporary and only maintained for a certain about of time.

I guess I also expect that when I set something It gets applied.

But utimately I use setcpu to prolong battery. 2 days ago I was able to pull 17 hours of battery life. I rebooted and the next day it was way worse.

So i started to watch setcpu. When I opened setcpu my ma's dropped to 5-7ma via current widget.

So I am just trying to figure out If setcpu and root are working properly and if setcpu is actually helping or hurting

unfortunately, im not to familiar with the hd2, android, and root. when i get a chance, ill do some research. hopefully someone else can help in the meantime.

No worries dude. I value your input anyway. Not sure many people have the hd2 running android here. Just was remembering my times with my G1 and how these acted then.

I really need to find a list of terminal commands lol.
