Roommate Small Claims Court?

I lived with a roommate for a few months but I was never on the lease and my name wasn't on any of the bills. I didn't get mail there and I never used the address. She had an incredibly unpleasant boyfiend living with us who didn't pay any bills or any of the rent but used all of these things while living there with us and nagging me about various things as well as attempting to hit on me while she wasn't home. I never said anything because I'm very passive and I don't like confrontations, however, in the future I will know to. I got fed up and moved out (I even gave 30 days notice) and paid the last month of rent but I didn't pay the last half of the bills. I don't want to because I think he should. My roommate sent me an email threatening to take me to small claims court if I don't pay it. I don't want to waste the time doing that and I'm not sure that they'll sympathize with my situation because I never said anything to her boyfriend. I sent her an email via facebook stating that I would try to send her the money a while ago but I still don't just have $118 sitting around and I don't have a way to save it soon. I know I shouldn't not pay out of spite but I don't think it was fair. What should I do?
Actually she din't say small claims court she just said she had evidence to bring me to court over the matter and that if I didn't pay her soon that I could expect a court summons. I offered to pay her in increments but she hasn't declined or accepted yet.

who cares. just keep your words and pay her in increments. make sure the payments are in check so that you will at least have evidence. also, keep record of your email/message exchanges so that if she DOES take you to court you could at least say that you DID offer to pay and you WERE making the effort to pay.
