Room paint and decor ideas?

So im putting hardwood floors in my room and im having a hard time deciding what color to paint my walls. I either want black and white or brown, black and burgundy.... i dont know what will look good with the hardwood floors. Does anybody have any suggestions not necessarily those colors. i would really appreciate it.. =]
the hardwood floor is a meduim oak color
