Room decorating ideas?

I'm working on redecorating my bedroom, and I'm stuck on what to do with one of the walls. My colors are black and white, with pops of purple here and there. The wall is the largest in my room, no windows, directly across from my door. It's parallel to my bed and there's a light in the corner- but you can see the entire wall top to bottom, side to side. The ceiling is pretty high, too.

I was thinking wall shelves for a bit, but then I wondered if the wall was too wide to do that correctly.

Any ideas?
