Ron Paul trolls Rick Perry fans in new ad :bowrofl:

Politic 101 we all know he's pandering to mainstream republicans, who practically worship Reagan. Which is why I found this funny. Paul doesn't even like Reagan.
 
Good ad. While I see no path for Paul to win, this the sort of ad he should have been using 4 years ago to get more mainstream republicans on side.

As far as latching on to Reagan, I don't really see a downside. When people look back at his presidency, most remeraber better times, a resurgent US, and the end of the cold war. Very few people remeraber the details, and the majority will ignore anyone trying to knock down that presidency. It's good politics regardless of your opinion of Reagan, because the vast majority think highly of him.
 
Reality and perception are two very different things.

Despite realities to the contrary, Reagan is still the personification of low spending, cutting taxes and the proverbial "small government."
 
I liked how they have pictures of what looked like run down detroit buildings floating around when they mentioned gore.
 
Which is partially why Dr. Paul left the Republicans in 87 to run as a Libertarian. Perry tried to use his resignation letter against him.

Except it really doesn't make Paul look that bad:
